Makenna's Big Day

Auntie Pam came over and rocked with Makenna (This happened later in the day, but somehow the pictures got out of order- oh, well).

Makenna woke up at around 7:30.

She had a long conversation with her mom.




Then she got sleepy (conversing can be exhausting!)



But, before she could go to sleep, mommy made her take a bath. Then she hung out in her bathrobe ("Mom, are we done taking pictures yet?")

Then, Grandma came over...

and we all went out to lunch.

Finally, Daddy came home from work...and that meant bottle time and bed time!

Its a Wrap!

Yesterday, Shira and Sandy and Leilani came over. Shira and Sandy wrapped her up and took these wonderful pictures, which capture her little personality so perfectly. What a cutie!

We went to the doctor today. Makenna is very healthy! She weighs 10 pounds 8 ounces already (and it is starting to show- look at those cheeks!). So all that eating and sleeping is doing her some good.

Makenna's First Thanksgiving

Makenna had a great first Thanksgiving! She had many wardrobe changes throughout the night. Her Auntie June and Auntie Tina and Cousin Jasmin bought her her first dress with matching sweater, shoes, and headband. She looked adorable and much older than three weeks. She also had to wear her two different Thanksgiving bibs. Makenna slept through most of Thanksgiving dinner.

We are so thankful that she is here, healthy and happy!

Makenna doesn't like to be messed with. She screams and turns bright red when she gets her diaper changed, gets a sponge bath, or gets her clothes changed. When Cousins Jasmin set up a photo shoot with her, however, she was a calm little angel. She let Jasmin put her in all different poses- wearing her customized "Jazzy Loves Me" onesie-and the photo shoot lasted several minutes. I think we might have America's Next Top Model on our hands!
