Makenna's Baptism

Makenna (and her cousin Jadyn) got baptized last Saturday, July 18th at St. Augustine's Church.

Makenna's First Swim

Makenna and I went to Aunt Pam's house. It was a sunny, warm day so Makenna put on her bathing suit...

and had a snack! A big piece of Wassa bread.

After her snack, she took her first dip in the pool. I forgot my bathing suit, but Pam was happy to take her in.

She liked the water. It was cool and refreshing!

After our swim, we sat by the pool and relaxed.

Then we had a bath in the sink and got ready to go home (but not before some quality time with Uncle Ricky)!

Leilani and Andrew came over yesterday! Andrew is a big boy, he will be two in August!

At first, he and Makenna didn't quite know what to make of each other. Andrew read books,

and Makenna played by herself.

But eventually they interacted.

We took Andrew to our neighborhood park. Grandma swung with Makenna while Andrew ran around.

Then Andrew got on the swing too!

We made a new little friend, Wolf.

And a new grown-up friend, Samantha, Wolf's mommy. (Andrew took to her right away)

Then we came back home and Andrew and Makenna played a game of peek-a-boo.

Finally Leilani and Andrew had to leave. What a fun day!

Busy Being Makenna

Cousin Jasmin came over and dressed Makenna up in her beautiful blue dress and did her hair so pretty. Makenna sat still just long enough to take this picture ( she doesn't sit still much, she even moves in her sleep). And then she was on the move again.....

and finally it was time to take off the pretty blue dress and take out those pretty pigtails and take a relaxing bath. Its hard work being Makenna and it takes a lot of energy so she always needs to unwind at the end of the day!
